The Trochetia parviflora(above picture) which was first discovered in 1794 was thought to have gone extinct in 1863. It was however, rediscovered in 2001 on the slopes of the Corps de Garde mountain.
This is one of the routes leading to the Corps de Garde Nature Reserve, starting from Camp Levieux.
The Nature Reserve is about 90.33 Ha.
Corps de Garde is a 720m high mountain of volcanic origin in the Moka range.
